Door auto lock

Folks,

Does the RL lock the doors automatically after a per-determined period of time once the engine has been turned-off? I know there is a setting to do this in the configuration menu, but regardless of the value that I set for the time-out period, the doors never seem to lock themselves. Any ideas?

A few steps I have taken to troubleshoot:
1. Disconnected the battery to reset all settings
2. Tried different time-out intervals
3. Made sure that door handle dimples work
4. Installed a fresh battery into the remote

Thanks in advance...

I think that my RL will, after some period of time, automatically relock itself if it is unlocked via the remote and no door opened. I do not know of a process for setting the locking system to automatically lock upon exiting the vehicle. But, I am eager to learn.

I have never seen a Honda that will auto-lock. Roger is correct that the doors will re-lock after 30 seconds if a door is not opened after a fob unlock. This is true for all Hondas and other Japanese cars.

I would like to know the name of the menu that you are setting a time for so we can help you figure out what you are changing.
