DIY replacement of stock RL speakers?
DIY replacement of stock RL speakers?
Can anyone help on this? I know Bose in our RLs is not the best in the world but is there any type of DIY instructions on how to replace rear desk twiddler (right side) ... I have not tried to open it but I was hoping it is something easy as unplug plug sort of thing?
Thanks all!
PS Could not find anything while searching other than "replacing stock with after-market" - no instructions but questions on sizes mostly...

In the Service Manual in the Garage, there is a PDF named "interior trim". It will show you how to remove the rear deck. It involves taking a rubber mallet to the C-pillar to break a clip. The curtain airbag in that pillar scared me away from attempting it. And I didn't want to buy more clips.
Unless you really meant the rear desk. I can't help you with that removal.

huh - looking at all these clips I am ready to go to dealer and ask for quote
... speaker itself costs about $55 - labor I can image can be up to an hour so $120-$130 price should do it... but again, it is a dealer that will have high price...
