DIY replacement of stock RL speakers?

Can anyone help on this? I know Bose in our RLs is not the best in the world but is there any type of DIY instructions on how to replace rear desk twiddler (right side) ... I have not tried to open it but I was hoping it is something easy as unplug plug sort of thing?

Thanks all!

PS Could not find anything while searching other than "replacing stock with after-market" - no instructions but questions on sizes mostly...

In the Service Manual in the Garage, there is a PDF named "interior trim". It will show you how to remove the rear deck. It involves taking a rubber mallet to the C-pillar to break a clip. The curtain airbag in that pillar scared me away from attempting it. And I didn't want to buy more clips.

Unless you really meant the rear desk. I can't help you with that removal.

huh - looking at all these clips I am ready to go to dealer and ask for quote ... speaker itself costs about $55 - labor I can image can be up to an hour so $120-$130 price should do it... but again, it is a dealer that will have high price...

You could help by removing the back seat for them. It is quick and painless and would save them some time. Unless the whole process is a predetermined time.

That's what I was thinking after I wrote the first two sentences.
