Did 05 RL's come factory tinted?
I have an 05 that i bought about a month ago in the midwest. I have since moved to the mojave in southern california, and i think the heat has caused the window tint on the drivers front door to delaminate. It is starting to catch in the front lower edge of the window...just wondering if it was factory tinted, and if it was is it a warranty for life like some after market tints? If it was not factory, then i think i'll have to foot the bill...dont know who or what brand it is...

the answer is NO. no factory tint
Correct - at least the way you mean it.

All cars come with some sort of reduction in VLT but that visual light transmission is reduced by tinting the plastic layer inside the laminated glass. There is no external factory applied tint.
If it is peeling then it has to be aftermarket and clearly not covered by the Acura warranty.

What are tints?
A dealer may or may not apply tint before delivery, so the answer is, "none left the factory tinted, but some left the lot tinted". In any case, even if teh dealer did do it, they won't cover it. You can get a quality tint job for ~$200 and up.

The OP states a 2005 RL. That Hondanews.com link is to the 2005 RL. The 2005 RL was released in 2004.....hence a 2004 dated features list.
The green tinted side glass appears on every MY of the 2nd Generation RL.

It's my understanding that no factory glass is 100% transparent. This is what my connections in the big 3 tell me, and what Toyota tells me. I work in fuels so I know less about factory automotive glass. So yes, you do have a small amount of shading, or tint, or whatever you want to call it.
