Detect key

Need some advise. I own 2006 RL with 52,000. The read out below the speedometer has started to display in yellow that it does not detect the key. Key seems to work fine. Any ideas?

I've only heard of that happening when the remote is removed from the vehicle with the car running. I know it has nothing to do with the remote battery. Do you keep the remote in close proximity with any other devices like cell phone, computer etc? Does it happen with both remotes? Remote damaged in any way?
Maybe a call to a dealer if you can't resolve the issue. That is something that could eventually get you stranded so I would take care of the issue quickly.

robarsan is correct. There are past threads detailing similar symptoms and cell phones and cell phone chargers have been known to interfere with keyfob links.

I had this happen when I put my cell phone in the cup holder and the FOB was there after picking it up from Service.
