I strongly recommend Mike Nelson at Radley Acura. I've bought 4 Acuras from there.

All you need to do, it go to Radley's. See Mr Mohommnad(internet salesman), tell him MR. West sent you. Tell him what you want to pay(reasonable) and you are out the door. Never takes me more than 5 minutes, and I am done. WE have bought two cars from him this year,06,TSX, and 06 RL. In my book, there is no one better up there. He is very pleasant and no sales pressure. I have been to every Acura dealer in the area, and Radley's is it for sales. WHATEVER, you do, stay away from Rosenthal and Tisher. Tisher does not bargin and you will pay more. Rosenthal is one of the dealers that pats you on the back, but when you come back, they look at you and say, " who are you" You are just a number there. I know, cuz we bought an 05 TL from them. Never will I go back there again. The lady and I go to a dealer every weekend. We love to test drive cars and compare to the RL, since we only keep the luxury cars 1 year or less. I could tell you some stories about some of these dealers out here, but that is another thread. Let us know what you decide. Trust me if you see Mr Mohommand, and tell him I sent you, you will be treated like a king!

I second the recommendation from dwest1023 about Radley and Mr. Mohommnad(internet salesman) (I think his card says Mo). He was a pleasure to deal with and we struck a deal in 2 minutes. I'd done my homework. He turned delivery over to Matt Crane and he was also very attentive and anxious to make sure I was happy.

I was going to recommend Rosenthal Acura in Gaithersburg where I got mine but it sounds like Radley is another good choice. Don't they offer Lifetime FREE oil change as well at Radley?

I guess the key thing now is finding the car you like too, i.e tech, non-tech, color combo, etc. I know for a fact that Rosenthal still has some 06's left.

Good luck!

What never takes more than 5 minutes? The credit application takes more than 5 minutes. Please explain.

Also... what have people heard about Chevy Chase Acura? I met some people from there and they seemed OK.

Talk to vluu, he paid only 39.5k for a new non-tech RL in Virginia somewhere.

Chevy Chase Acura is in the city somewhat and they are located in an upscale location or at least that's the impression a lot of people have in this area. I believe their inventory is a lot lower than the bigger dealerships in the area. So having said that, I'm not so sure how much discount they are willing to give. Also, it is such a hassle to call their service department, you always have to leave a message and wait for an hour or 2 before someone calls you back.

The negotiation is what took 5 min. It did not take long for finacing either, but I have excellent credit, so there was not much work that had to been done. I had no credit app to fill out.Just sign mostly. Radleys is very fast with the paper work if there are no issues. Danny, over in finace is a pleasure to work with. Chevy Chase, is OK. For me, Radley was just a better experience for sales. Even now, when I stop in, I am treated like a new customer.

I would agree with dwest1023,
In the last 4 years, i purchased 5 cars from Radley. Mr. Mohammed is the person to talk to. Or Mike Nelson.

I have seen Chevy Chase Acura and they are stuffed into a tiny lot. They seem to be very small as dealerships go but I don't know anything about them.

Pohanka Acura, I believe, is the #1 Acura dealer in the country. Any experience with them?

I visted this dealership as well. I walked around and not one saleman ask me if I needed any help. They all seemed uninterested. Not saying they are bad, but this was my experience. Service dept seemed to be very nice though. To be number 1 they must do something right, but I did not see it. The Acura dealer in Annapolis seem to be good as well. NO BS, just straight talk. Had I not dealt with Radley's I might have dealt with them.

Qatar, I just realized who you are. You and I met at Radleys' when you had your car in the shop for the AC. Do you know, it took us 6 trips to Radleys to get the door handle lock to work? I did not see your car there(as usual) so I guess they got you straight.

mini meet?

It looks there are a few us here in the DC Metropolitan area. How about scheduling a RL mini-meet? Then we can talk all we want about the dealers in our area

Just a thought...

I think you are right. Pohanka is the #1 dealer in the country. But I find it interesting how people go there first and end up buying somewhere else. I for one went to Pohanka first to check out the Type-S. Found out later about the $4K incentive on the RL's. But they did NOT have the color combo I wanted. So I ended up goign to a dealership closer to home and was given a better deal than my quoted price from Pohanka. On top of that, they had my color combo. I have nothing bad to say about Pohanka though.

Thanks all for the advice.

I have tried to contact all of the dealers and see what I get. Rosenthal made the quickest initial contact, and offered the highest price by email.

Radley, would not offer a price over email. I called Mr. Mohammed wasn't there but Mike Kelley was. Seems like very easy to deal with. Said he would match any price and give lifetime free oil and VA inspections.

Pohanka offered an email quote when no one else did, with the lowest price.

Nothing so far from Chevy Chase.

Nothing so far from Tischer.

All of the salespeople at Radley are nice, I believe MR. Mohomned is the top Acura sales guy in the area. Take any price over there and they will match. Ask for freebees too, like floormats and mudguard. especially if all they are doing is match price. Just tell him Mr West sent you, and he will take care of you.

Miami Acura

Have purchased two cars from Miami Acura and have always been treated in a professional manner. Sales process straight forward. I got an a good price without the usual dealership games and non-sense. Service department is also excellent. I give sales and service a 10 out of 10.

Just bought an 06 from Tischer. As of Tuesday, they had two 06's left-- a white base and a silver Tech. Chevy Chase had two non-techs (meteor silver and carbon gray) but I got a better price at Tischer. Radley only had a red left in non-Tech and Rosenthal had none.

What price did you get? I have never been able to get any good deal from Tischer.

Price Paid

$40,700 + TTL (but including freight). I could probably have negotiated a better deal but was headed out of town for the holiday and didn't want to get stuck without a car. (The stock of 2006s is getting really low now). It may not be the best deal around, but I'm happy enough with my new RL.

One more possibility: try Kwame Gachette at Karen Radley Acura in Woodbridge. Straight shooter, low pressure, decent prices -- maybe not the absolutely lowest in the area, but close.

I bought my 2006 RL Non-Tech Package from Radley Acura, Falls Church VA (39.5K + TTL). Get buying experience. Tried to give my business to Pohanka Acura in Chantilly, but they are very aggressive and make you feel like they are doing you a favor by selling you a car. I highly recommend Radley! I believe they will offer "lifetime" oil changes on all cars until the end of the year. I never have to worry about paying for an oil change for the life of my RL.

Good Luck!
