The D.C. area weather report.

Northern Virginia is getting a good bit of snow this morning. At present there is six or more inches most of which has not been plowed or salted as it is very early and snow is still coming down. I left the house at midnight just as the snow was beginning to fall heavy. Having not had the chance to drive the RL in heavy snow the decision to take it out over the tried and true Toyota Sequioa was not easy.

Getting to the point - the RL is more snow worthy than the truck - believe it! I could feel the computers via VSC and AWD at work at all times making necessary adjustments to my driving. My truck doesn't do that . I am 43 and have never had an accident in the snow. Although i don't recommend it I have driven my old Corvette, Lincoln Mark Vlll, Chevy Chevette (aka My first Vette ) and various other rwd and front drive cars. Anyway, my point here is driving in the snow takes a steady hand but with the RL nothing seemed to risky. This is a very nice car. A coupe would be nicer but this is very nice.

If I had a complaint it would be that my Acura service department is more like going to the Chevy dealer than the Lexus dealer. I am glad I don't have to go there often. They act as if I broke their car. We want donuts and coffee!!!

Congrats on the adventure! By the time I left my place, the roads were already cleared. However, it was fun parallel parking the RL in a small snow bank without worrying about the car slipping or getting stuck.

Have you tried Radley Acura? Their service is pretty good.

Pohanka. I have been a loyal customer for 20 years but I don't feel they totally deserve it.
