Customize Settings

I'm trying to access the "Customize Settings" menus by unlocking the RL with my keyfob, turning the ignition to "ON", waiting for the nav system to boot, then pressing "Info" for three seconds and releasing as instructed in the manual. Unfortunately I don't see any settings appear in the multi information display. What could I be doing wrong? I verified that the "Driver 1" or "Driver 2' is recognized, and I've tried different timings and with the motor running or not running. Has anyone else had trouble with this?

Also, I find it irritating that neither accesory outlet stays powered when the ignition is off. Anyone know of a secret setting to "fix" that so I can charge my phone overnight?

Thanks,
Tim

Tim,

To access your customizable settings, turn the key to power on and press-hold the top of the three buttons on the right side of the steering wheel. This will bring you to the various settings you can change.

The power outlet thing is common with Japanese cars - never had that issue on my American cars. You can bypass it (I don't know how), but it's highly discouraged by everyone I talk to.

Tim - I will go to my car to figure out the customize settings. As far as the accessory outlets they do this so you do not drain the battery. You can re-wire them if you want to stay on. You would have to cut the 12v wire from the cig. lighter and splice it into a power wire that is constant on.

Thanks!

Thanks! I'm sure that will work. I'll try it this afternoon.
