Courtesy light button...

I have a question. I've had my RL for just over two months and I've just noticed this. I have the courtesy lights set to turn on when you open the doors. As a result, the little green LED light on the "DOOR" button on the overhead console is on. The only thing is that I noticed that the little green light is "ALWAYS" on. Even after the interior lights turn off.

I know that the LED light probably draws very very little power, but it just seems odd that this light would stay on. Is this the case for all RLs or is there an issue with mine.

Same thing on my 06. In a dark garage it's amazing how much light comes from that small source.

That's exactly how I noticed. I was walking up my driveway. It was dark out, the garage door was open and the garage light was off.

Thanks for the responses.

I thought my LED lights were blue? In any case they are always on, even the rear passenger ceiling LEDs. I like the little touches that Honda made.

Not the blue LED lights. The green LED on the DOOR button on the overhead console.

The light will go off if you lock the car. My 2005 is always on unless I lock it it which case the battery draw is at a minimum.

Ohhhhh I didn't check for that. Thank you.

It would make sense since I don't lock it in my garage.

I also will add that it is good to lock the car if you leave it in the garage for an extended period. I once wanted to see something so I switched the interior light on. I left the car. Lights stay on for some time and did not realize it was switched on. Battery was run down because of this.
I found that if you remotely lock the car, the interior light will be turned off.
Try it and let me know .
