Smile Console cover

Hello all can I just say I love this place. I'm around ppl that love theses cars as much as I do.. The 1st time I saw the G2 RL concept I was like OK cool I like it alot... Then I saw the product model and I was in love.. I very detailed about cars anyways I digress... My main reason why I'm writing this is cause my dog is in my car with me alot .. Shes a 20lb pug.. And she loves the center console... So does anyone know a console cover that fits and doesn't look tacky? Right now I'm using a microfiber dryer cloth..it matches the tan leather . any suggestions ?? Thanks a lot

invent something.

you're the ONLY one with this problem, as I dont think any one lets their dog stand on the center console.....

like...any sort of cover you put on will be tacky....because its not made for the RL.
you can make something that sorta fits, like your makeshift microfiber cloth. but there isnt a dedicated cover for scratches.....

and anything you put on top, short of a new leather replacement will look tacky.
and then if you do put a new leather replacement on, it will only get scratched up by your 20lb lap dog.

Go to an auto upholstery shop, explain your problem and ask them for suggestions. They may suggest making some type of vinyl coverlet for your console. Good luck---

That pic though

When my dog cruises with me he sits on the arm rest as well even though I leave a blanket for him across the back seat

Can't complain though, he's a whopping 16lbs & my arm rest has seen better days..

My border collie-corgi used to post up there when he was a puppy. Now he weighs 55 lbs and it's a bit of a safety issue to say the least (although my Tundra has hard plastic there).

justn was right about your choices though. There is no market for this. Like Stevie said, go to an upholstery shop. They can give you an elastic cover to slip on.

Put your dog on a diet and put him in the cup holder

an upholstery shop is your best bet.

I would highly recommend investing in a dog seatbelt to keep your beautiful pug from getting injured:

Blue Adjustable Car Vehicle Seat Seatbelt Pet Dog Safety Belt Harness - Walmart.com

make sure you use a harness in conjunction with it and don't attach it to a collar!!!! Saved my great dane numerous times during hard braking from sliding off the back seat

I built a wood platform that sits between the front and rear seats in 1 of my cars. allows my GSD to be right next to me and also lay out after playing. PLEASE do not let her sit on that console like that. God forbid you get hit and you'll have a projectile and you will never forgive yourself. Get that harness as suggested.

Not sure how an upholstery shop will help unless they do custom fabrication and if they do it will cost ya.
