Climate control display

Hi all,

I recently got an 06 RL and I'm having trouble figuring out the dash display, specifically the climate control settings. When I first start the car the small display on top of the dash shows the temperature the A/C is set to and shows what you're changing it to, but after a short time the display goes off and I can't tell what temp I'm setting the climate controls to. I'm able to get the main display to show the A/C controls but it doesn't seem to show the temp. I've searched the owner's manual extensively but it doesn't even mention that little display at the top of the dash.....unless I'm missing it, which is a distinct possibility.

Also, is there a way to stop getting that message saying Navigation is unavailable because the DVD door is open or there is no disk loaded? ....other than loading a DVD in the player of course.

Thanks in advance
John

Your upper (eyebrow) display is broken. It should never turn off. If the car is on, that display is on.

While the fix is easy, if you do not have the tools needed, there is fairly affordable option on eBay which I used myself just a couple of weeks ago:

They fix it for $20 - this in my opinion is easier if you do not want to deal with DIY
