Clear coat peeling
I have an 06 CPO with about 39 k miles; owned since April 08 when purchased with 25k miles. No accident history that I am aware of.
I noticed this week that what appears to be a clear coat on the front fascia, around grille and headlamps, has begun to peel.
I am not terrribly finicky about washing myself so the car has had its share of brush and brushless commercial car wash exposure.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Any advice on best repair?

I haven't read the warranty carefully enough to see if exterior paint, etc. is covered but want to be sure that a new part is installed instead of a re-coat which I think may be less durable.

I have the clear bra on mine, but I would be willing to bet the dealer refinished the front fascia before they sold it which is very common since these are painted bumpers.
I would speak to the selling dealer and see if they will help you out. I would think they have records on your car and notes of what was done to prep it prior to the sale.

And +1 on the clear bra. I'd get one when this problem is resolved.

Because there seems to be clear (no pun intended) agreement on the cause-a poor quality recoat-maybe I would be justified in asking for a new fascia and then have the clear bra installed after that. i just don't want to go throught the effort only to have the experience repeated.
Any recommendations on the brand of clear bra? I see a lot of 3M products out there but also have concern about installation.
