Chicago Dealer Question
I contacted two dealer today about purchasing used RL's. Napleton and McGrath. Anyone have any experience with these dealerships? Recommendations?
Kind of funny, there are nearly identically spec'd cars at each dealer, and given the economy, I expect to be buying from a position of power. I told each of the sales people what specs I was looking for and it was going to come down to price. One of the salespeople contacted me late in the day to tell me how many cars they sold and how quickly their inventory turns over, and that there pricing is very competitive.
I guess that means they don't want to deal? Which means I guess I don't want to buy (from them)!
Anyway, any thoughts on the above dealers would be great.
Thanks.

I'm if not mistaking.....that totally sounds like MCGRATH. thats there classic routine, "high volume...competitve prices". they are full of crap. the trick is, DONT Believe them!! turst me, you step in there dealership, they will deal, to a certain point.

brocz,
i went through the same thing when i went shopping for my car. Mcgrath will not deal with you. they suck ass. i went there ready to buy. i had seen a car that i liked and i wanted to deal. the dealer was empty no customers only me and my girl. i was looking at a TL and RL.. RL was there for 90 days. they were asking for 24k it had 60 miles 05... but i like the color. the TL was 20.5k and it had 50k and it was 06.. TL had just been in a trade in one day there.
i wanted a deal on both. Mcgrath said no the TL. i was pissed of. the rl the lowest they went was 22k. i told them they were nuts. i had same car at muller acura with less miles for 20.. but i liked the color. he didn't want to budge. i told the sales men you are letting me go for 2k.. he said i guess. i said your stupid. i literally said you are stupid.
walked out. called muller acura spoke to my sales man. and bought mine the next day. 20k with 40k miles and 2006. white pearl.
Moral of the story is Mcgrath Sucks. Mcgrath thinks they can hold there cars and someone will buy them. and they are wrong. Don't go to Mcgrath Acura. Go to Muller Honda or Muller Acura.
good Price and they are willing to negotiate. my Original price was 25k. got it down to 20k. i walked out on them when he said 21. got a call 5 min.. later manager said ok 20k.
well sorry for boring you with my story.

I appreciate the story, that's exactly what I wanted to find out with this post. I guess I don't need to waste my time with McGrath. The care I want is still there, and has been for a while, no change in price. I will keep looking until I get the deal I want. Thankfully the weather is good now and I can use my NSX for the daily driver!
