Changing Battery how to get the big cover off of the + stem

How do you get the big red plastic thing off of the battery that is covering the + post, I see about 6 clips, but it is impossible to push them all in at once. Do you just yank it?

If the red cover is a challenge then changing the battery should be left for somone with a little more ability.
DIY doesn't always save you money if you are not able.
