Buzzing sound?!!?

Driving me crazy! We just had a minor rain storm here last week and then clears up over the weekend. So washed my car on Sunday. Then Monday morning when I was headed to the office, I started to hearing this buzzing sound either on windshield air vents or under the hood. The buzzing sound only started when I would go like accelerate around 40mph or so. When I slow down the buzzing sound stop. Then when I accelerate the buzzing sound starts. Sometimes it will happen and sometimes it won't. Driving me nuts. Anyone experience this before?

It might be the covers over the catalytic converter. They get rocks in them and it sets up a buzz. Also if they have been scraped over a bump or something like that, they will buzz against the metal of the converter.

My buzzing comes from when the wife doesn't latch the sun visors in to the plastic retainer. Drives me nuts.

For some reason, it doesn't feel like coming from the catalytic converter. I can easily notice the buzzing sound it right in front of me like on the dash but when I roll down the window seems to be somewhere in front. But if thats the case of the CC, then I will drop by my friend's shop over the weekend and give it a look.

Could be something lose in your engine bay. If I can recall you have your intake without a bracket. Check that and let us know. Do you you still have warranty.

For sure its not the intake. I installed the intake myself and never have a buzzing sound from that. I did open the hood over the weekend to clean the engine bay. I first thought it might be my Tein EDFC motor might be loose but nothing wrong with it. I was adjusting the setting and they are in top notch. There is no check engine light. I'll take it into my friend shop and put on a lift this weekend and check on it.

If it's cold where you live, it could be ice.

Nope, I live in So Cali. No ice here. I notice if I drive it on the highway at high speed, the buzzing sound appear. So not 100% what is causing it. So gonna take it to my friend shop this weekend for a full inspection >_<. I did encounter during a rain storm before I wash my car, one of my HID foglight wasn't working. But after the rain and washing my car, it works. I think have to do with moisture going into the ballast but after it dries up it work. I highly doubt that causing the buzzing sound.

OK I found the culprit! It's a piece of dry leave that was wedge between my hood and the top grille trim thats what causing the buzzing sound. So I took it out and when I drove it, buzzin sound is gone. What a relief LOL

That was my first thought on reading the symptom (though I'd have pointed you to the air inlets at the base of the windshield). I get plenty of leaves on my car, and they do get stuck and flap around. I wish they've leave me alone.....
