Talking Brand New RL

Just got my Brand new RL with the A-Spec chroms rims and also the rear lip spoiler. Also the Navi in this car is crazy for some restaurants it offers things like their price, rating in food, service and decor!

Absolutely love this car only downfall is that the performance wheels I got on it tend to make a bit more road noise and also starting pulling one way when on un-even highways

I took a bunch of pics i'll post em soon!

Oh Acura on Brant. I live in Burlington, do you or did you just buy it here?

Man, another RL in the city (possibly) and one with the nice A-spec wheels. Doh!

If you ever see a blue RL whipping around with some dark tint that's me

yupp just picked it up from Brant Street Acura! Those rims are soo worth they totally complete the car I think and the pics dont do justice to what the actual car looks like. Also the wood trim steering is a nice feature too, its about $1000 (canadian) expensive but a nice accent

how much were the rims bro?

I was going to get my RL from Acura on Brant back in November but they onyl had a white demo and werent getting any in for a few months so I went to Performance Acura in St Catharines and got my RL there.

I'll be taking my RL for servcie ot Acura on Brant since I work 4 walking minutes away.

Come to think of it, I drove by the Acura on Brant dealership recently and believe I saw your RL in the lot. If not yours it was one of the exact same colour.

Thanks for the positive feedback yo! appreciate it

The exterior color is Magnum Grey Metallic and the rims that I got go for about $2700 (canadian) and then you also need to get some 18" tires to go along with them so it works out to about $1000 per wheel.
Also the rear lip spoiler although small goes for $650

Heyy if any of you guys want me to take certain picture of the car let me know i'll post it ASAP

ChromeRL, welcome to the RL family. Which tires did you put on your 18's?? Several posters here (myself included) have actually found that their 18's are much quieter than the OEM Michelins.

Link didn't work, but here is nearly your twin. I don't have wooden wheel or shifter, but do have A-Spec front, rear, and sides.

be thankful you dont have the POS OEM tires as they suck. I am guessing since you got upgraded rims you either have the OEM 17s or you got a discount on the car with the 18s. Whatever the case, make sure you get snow tires and again, be thankful you dont have the OEM 17 Michelins that sucks in the snow and just suck period.

Anyone else have their OEM 17s squeal a lot? I park in a parking garage (Chrome you should know one by lakeshore rd) and going up the levs and around the bends my tires always chirp and junk and I am not going fast or anything. It's bad

I have read the rl is governed at 130mph so if that is the case then reports higher are wrong unless they worked around the governor.

as for me, I have only been to like 165km/h durin some highway passing. the fastest i have ever driven in any car is 210km/h (130mph) in an ls430 as i wanted to hi its governor...that was fun and the car had like 2000 or so more rpm so i'd be interested in what its max speed would be without the limiter.

chrome,

well if you ever park in the mega parking garage behind the esso station do it on level 6 facing the lake

Dont worry If I park in that garage I'll make sure to face it towards the lake on level 6.

As for Headlight washers we do get them standard in Canada i guess cause of the winters but ya all it does is just spray the headlamp and also a bit of the lower hood.
Nothing to great!

Yay I got it up to 210km/h and it still felt like it had room for more I am surprisd it tops out at around 217km/h

yeah the headlight washers are silly. they work off the windshield washer in park so if you just want to clean your window before driving it will clean the lamps which in turns releases a ton of spray onto your hood. They should have used a sep switch for the lamps like I had on my previous IS300

No yanks should be envious of that lame feature.

Small Blue Lights

Hey

Does anyone know what those small blue lights are inside the RL there is 2 in the rear where the lights are located and 2 in the front near the sunroof controls I herd it does more than provide illumination??

Im really confused about this one thing, ppl have also been telling me it has something to do with the Noise Cancelling System?? .......Help

pretty sure the blue LEDs just provide some nice ambient lighting.

the mics for the noise cancelling system are two holes found between the lights in front/back
