Brake Fluid Change?
My RL is 3+ years old with 27K miles.
My next MID service will be due in a month or two. I want to include a tranny fluid change and I am considering a brake fluid change. My brakes perform fine and smooth. The tranny has had a few sloppy shifts before warmed up.
Has anyone else done so, and with what mileage? I pamper my RL and have had religious service by my Acura Dealer.
Is there any need at this age considering my low mileage?
Appreciate member opinions, especially those who have partaken with a brake fluid change.

I just went in for A12 service (56K miles) which only calls for oil, oil filter, tire rotation and both air and cabin filters. The tranny fluid looked a little on the brown side. Debated on getting it changed, but figured I'd wait until next time.
As for the brake fluid, I think I got mine changed earlier this year. I think rule of thumb is every three years regardless of miles. Brake fluid attracts moisture.

i wouldnt worry too much about brake fluid change around 30k. whats more important is the tranny, transfer case and rear differential fluid. as far as brake fluid goes just do a small flush by evacuating whats in the reservoir down the minimum fill line and filling it up. Save you some money and plus its to soon to be flushed out in my opinion, though i did flush mine out only because i changed out to SS braided teflon lines

However, I'm a fan of changing the transmission & rear differential fluids. I did it myself last weekend. The most difficult part was finding out there was two parts (clutch and hypoid) of the rear diff to empty and refill. You'll need a fluid pump with a flexible hose to fill the chambers. Other than that, it's pretty easy.

Brake fluid, what's that? Actually, I had mine done around 125K and haven't done it since.

With the mileage you have racked up on your RL I would wonder if you ever had time to even use the brakes???

I don't need no stinking tranny fluid pump....I got's me a checkbook! (and absolute zero mechanical aptitude).
Take your car to a local BMW car control class, and one of the only requirements besides a mechanical inspection is changing the brake fluid. Our local chapter, which accepts any brand of car, uses the Maryland State Police training center now, with skid pad, etc.
