Guys just thought I'd share what I think was a nice touch. Small project over the weekend. Simply picked up a can of body color touch-up paint and "airbrushed" the edges of my license plate. Took 10 mins max. Probably will only work best with a dark car/light license plate. (Though I think most plates are now white...or at least there's a white option. I remember car aficionados complaining in PA once that the old mustard orange-colored PA plates were ugly spots on their cars).

definitely never seen one before...but there's a chance that painting a license plate is a no no...sort of like doing any modification to $ results in a kick in the @$$.

dude my buddy decided to trim his license plate and he gets tickets for illegal modification to state property. its kinda like sand papering ur license plate number down so its all white. i live in ma as well!!

Yes I think technically it is a no-no. I may be wrong but I doubt I'd ever get pulled over JUST for that. Though I suppose it's a liability if I get pulled over for speeding and the cop is looking to be a real harda**. One of the other MA plate style actually comes with a similar blue fading around the top & bottom edges, so I'm hoping that it'll generally go unnoticed if it is not pointed out.

Big bore loud exhaust.
Heavy tint on front windows.
Driving while wearing a "hoody".
Changing or covering the license plate.
Driving in the fast lane when the adjacent lane is empty.
Using ones middle finger inappropriately!

I got pulled over for speeding in the right lane because the cop was stuck in the left lane with all the other "fast" drivers.
