blue interior micro-lights

I usually have a night lite on in my garage but this morning I noticed it was burnt out. I also noticed my RL had a faint blue interior glow to it. Do the little blue lights stay on indefinitely or should they be off while car is not in use?

Dealer was finally able to get a trunk lid liner that fit my RL without having a bulge in the middle. It was their 4th try at this plus they also had to replace the trunk interior light because the tech that has tried to fix the liner before broke the clips on the light and just reinstalled thinking I would not notice. While in for last service my brake pads were change and the sun shade rattle was fixed.

I don't believe the little blue lights stay on (or are supposed to). Well, I haven't noticed that being the case in my car. If you have the "Door" (or is it "ON"?, I'm not near my car right now) button depressed, there is a little green light that indicates the house lights will come on with the doors open. This light stays on until you lock the car.

The Blue LED's in the roof stay on all the time in my 2005. I read that this is standard.

I'll have to check tonight, but I'm almost certain that mine don't stay on all the time.

On a related note -- the 2 blue LED's in my front overhead console are DIFFERENT COLORS. Yep. One's more green, one's more blue.

My fiancee pointed it out, and since she did, it makes me nuts -- but I can't bring myself to take it into the dealership and say "Fix this, it's under warranty, they're different colors..." because then I'll be "THAT GUY" and they'll all snicker at me from then on.

So, um, how long does it take an LED to burn out?

Just checked. The only lights that are on are the green light on the ovehead light switch ("Door") and the little red security LED blinking on the radio.

I'm with treblig and lland. The only light that stays on is the green light since I don't lock the car when it's in the garage. I have though gone to the garage at night to take out the trash and noticed how bright the green light makes the interior before I open the garage door and the garaage door light comes on. Haven't found it to drain the battery... the longest I have left my car in the garage unused is a week when I was on vacation.

I haven't looked at the interior in the the garage in a while, so after reading all these replies I checked and the only light I have is the green door LED. I could have sworned that I had two blue LED's in the RL on all the time previously. Also checked the '06 MDX thinking maybe I'm confused, and there are no LED's .... Guess I'm Getting old and losing it.

Just checked mine last night and it is the green 'door' light on the overhead concole. I suppose I could be color blind.

The blue overhead light stays on as long as your lights are on, so if your car lights are programmed to not turn off as you lock the vehicle, the blue light will stay on until your lights go off.
