Can someone confirm that in '06 RLs had blue accent lights in the front driver and passenger footwells? I'm near certain that folks here have mentioned them, but I can't find anything of the sort in my RL. Before I mention it at my next service I wanted me make sure I wasn't off base.

Yes it does, I have them in mine, but it's very faint. It is difficult to notice unless it's really dark.

Absolutely has blue light in the footwells for both passenger and driver.

Yep, and in the (interior) door handles, in the overhead console.
ITs called theater lighting, and it is very nice.
Why is this question specific to the 06, did the take that out in the 07's?

No, it's definitely still in teh '07. However, I didn't notice it in the door handles. I'll need to check it out. Can someone confirm they have blue lights in their door handles?

FYI, they dim with the dimmer.
So if you have your dash lights to the lowest setting, you may not see them easily.

Confirming the blue cabin night-lighting in the footwells, door handles, and overhead (front and rear). They're just so cool that I wish I could drive this car more at night!

For the original poster. The door handles light up ONLY if you unlock the car with the fob. They will not turn on when you grab the door handle.

we're talking about interior lights, not exterior lights

Don't know about the 06s but my 05 has them. Very subtle though.

The 06 has them as well.

They are brightest when the interior lights are turned on by the keyfob or opening a door.

When you are driving, they are fairly dim. Almost like a lacklight, they show up best when I wear white tennis shoes.

Update to my own question; Yes, the blue lights are still on the door handles in the '07. I guess I just never noticed it. Kinda subtle unless you're in a very dark area.

They are on the interior doorhandles, front & back. They also on the exterior door handles (front only) and ativate when the unlock button is used on the fob.

They are also on the map pockets in the front door.

Actually they don't. I tried it tonight. Set the bightest to the lowest and brightest setting. No change.

maybe I am confused with the lighting within the buttons on the door.
Its either the led lighting that dims, or the lighting in the window actuators that dims.
I will check that later tonight.
