Assistance requested 2009 RL console replacement

I bought a replacement console. How do I remove the hinged top part? The spring seems a challenge. This is for a 2009 RL with technology package, but that element shouldn’t matter. Thanks.
The inside compartment as well as the top lid is torn. I got a video for the top lid replacement but the total hinged part should be replaced. Selling the car. Not worth $400 at the local trimmer to do the work.

The hinged top part (red arrow) of the #30 console box (yellow highlight) appears to be a 'built-in' component of the console box assembly?
If it were removable from the console box, one would see the individual parts individually broken down as the rest of the graphic shows for the various items.
