Just don't put one on. It's illegal in Ohio not to have one but I've never had one on any of my cars. I got a ticket about 6 years ago in my old Mazda 6 without one and the cop gave me a ticket for it. I took a picture holding the plate up to my car and the judge dropped it. I now keep my plate in my trunk so I can say to a cop, "I just had to order a new bracket because I was in an accident and had my front bumper replaced." Results may vary though.

For the rear plates, it looks cleaner. In all honesty though, if you have to use systems like this you will be asking for some trouble IMO.

I find it's easier just not to mount the front plate, and I don't. I'm not a lunatic, though: I took off the license plate cover I had. Those aren't legal in Calif. So, I sprayed my plate with that lacquer for making the plate hard to read from traffic cameras.
