They seem to like it now?

Perhaps automotive journalists have any remorse for dismissing this vehicle?

<sorry if this was posted previously...>

Hey Tampa, nice find, we know it is a sleeper, wonderful car.
For those in doubt, go out and drive a GS350 or look at the BMW reliability, or the BMW dash and ergonomics, you will realize what a great car it is.

Nowwww they tell us the RL's a world-class car... Did they just wake up one day and smell the coffee? Or maybe it IS the guilt for having dissed our ride for 3 model years.

That really felt like an ad. Where was the analysis?

Thanks for the link. It felt like they were reading from a list, but they did address some of the issues noted in our humble forum, including the styling (some find it bland, though I don't), and the subjective lack of power (made up for with superior, "fun" handling from SH-AWD, which, after all, is the shiznit. ).

Gosh! I hope I can handle all the attention at my local car wash!

I always get compliments at the car wash. When the white pearl is wet in the sun, it really catches the light.

This is North Texas. RLs tend to get lost in a sea of Silverados, Tundras, and F-150s not to mention Denalis, Yukons, and Suburbans. I really like to keep my empennage below the radar, so I am not concerned about a lack of attention. But I am smug about the fact that I feel that I have one of the best kept secrets in the automotive world, and would like to keep it that way.

BTW, the dealer gave me a white pearl to drive as they were preparing my car for final delivery, and I have to agree with you that the White is gorgous. I sort of wish that I was able to buy the one white vehicle that the dealer had; but it didn't have the CMBS/PAX equipment that I wanted.

Awesome clip. I agree with the fact that we own one of the automotive industries best kept secrets. I have wanted an RL since they came out in 2005 (GEN 2). I just didn't want to pay the money. All of my friends own audi,BMW,and Infiniti. Phoooey with that noise. I have owned honda products my entire driving life. Nothing is more reliable. Especially when compared to german cars, which are complete crap, the acuras always excel. The german cars also age quickly,i.e. the leather cracks early and something is breaking all the time. Why else would BMW offer the maintenance free program? This is because they know people are understanding how competetive japanese cars are when compared to their german counter parts.

I like the last statement, "not all may agree [referring to the 'fun to drive' aspect], but you're never going to know until you try".

Sounds like what we've been saying here for a while.
