another door handle thread

I had my door handles replaced because of the non working dimples .. I had to disconnect my battery for a minute to get rid of the ghost door locks and "sideview reverse mirror stuck" problem

... now everything works fine ...... but

When I open my drivers side door there's a sticky sound .. almost like there's tape holding it together and "snaps" when I pull the door handle open. I felt the rubber pieces inside the handle when opened and it is a bit sticky. I'm thinking about taking some fine sandpaper to the rubber to get the "adhesive type" crap out of it.

I donno, anyone ever run into this and does it go a way after a while?

I didn't notice that, and I've had door handles replaced several times.

Try rubbing/spraying the gaskets with silicone spray. make sure the silicone you get is compatible with the rubber. Test it by spraying in a styrofoam cup. If it eats the cup do not use.

I used a little Goo Gone on the rubber. It seems to have resolved the issue. Hopefully my door handles won't fall off now.
