With U Tube showing how easy it is to change the air filter I gave it a shot - live in S Cal with 85% of travel on freeways running 80 plus - the air filter I changed had less than 15K miles on it with 50% of it black, the remainder gray - it's a given the air in Cali land can be seen it's so dirty - does that explain the color of the filter? - also the drivers side exhaust has twice the carbon on it than the passenger side?? The U Tube video of changing the cabin air filter was terrific - $99.00 is the going price for that service at the Acura dealer.....swithed to K@N air filter - no noticeable difference in sound or power. The de paxing went great tires and wheels are excellent. Thank B Dogg

 

could also be soot, especially if its highways...

Is there soot/carbon on the bumper or just the tip (giggity)?
