advice on 09-10 RL
I am in the market to purchase a RL should i stay away from any model year? I found A 2010 1 owner for $10,900 WITH 104,00 miles
It was involved in one minor accident back in 2009 on the carafe to the left door...no air bag or any other issues full service records.

Although i prefer the front of the 05-08 models. That's a very good price for a 2010...
my RL wish... the front of 05-08 with the rear of the 09-12. haha i love the way the rear looks on the 09-12.. looks really high class.

Even though I no longer own mine (2006), I was just driving behind one yesterday and I still like the look of that build the best. I couldn't help but admire it as I drove behind it for a few stop lights, although that owner let the chrome trim deteriorate, but he did seem to wax it at least.
In fact, I like look of the rear more than anything. It has that notorious "BMW Bangle-designed" butt, lol. You either love it or hate it. Also one of the reasons why I got my new car: the back-end look.
Personally, I wouldn't buy any car involved in an accident. While it may be cheap for you now because of it, that stigma will forever be with it when you plan on unloading it.

We have a 2009 RL Advance (CBMS) purchased in 2010 with 8K miles (now has 23K miles). The only problem we have encountered is that the battery drain is too high when the car is not being driven enough. Since we only drive this car about 2500 miles a year we have to make sure it gets driven at least once or twice a week to keep the battery charged.
I wouldn’t worry about the slight accident. Our parked 2014 RDX was t-boned by a neighbor when it was 2 months old with 400 miles on it. It had $17,000 in damage and took two months to repair. We have been driving this RDX for 2 years now and have had no problems with the car.

Figure the cost of the timing belt (roughly a grand, all in) into your pricing. It's due.
