Ability to lock car while it is running ?
Maybe I missed this how to somewhere, but it is possible to start up the RL, walk back into the house with the key fob and lock it ?. This way while it's warming up no one can steal it.

the way i do it is i lower the driver side window, use the interior lock to lock the doors and then push the window knob again to close the window. then when your back you can simply use the door sensors to unlock it

That is correct, but what Qatar is talking about is not using the fob, but something less high tech--namely sticking your hand through the open window, locking the car, then activating the auto up window control on the inside of the car, and pulling your hand and arm out before you get "caught", although theoretically the RL has a sensor that will reverse the window if you ever get "caught"!

Um, let me reiterate, you can start the car, take the FOB with you, close the door and just use the KEY from the FOB to lock the door from the OUTSIDE of the car using the mechanical key lock on the door.
The car will beep as if to remind you that you are outside the car with the FOB with the car running. The only way to unlock the door is with the KEY again.

Great info!
I'm interested if there's a forum in Africa or some other God forsaken place on earth, where somebody's started a thread about riding a camel for extended hours without giving it water or food or if it's OK to eat a grub worm without sharing it with your 37 family members who live in the same dirt hut.
It would make a good FarSide cartoon!
