59 RLs sold in June 2011

It looks like the earthquake continues to affect supply of Japan-sourced Acura/Honda products. I think this is the lowest number of RLs sold since the new hen debuted in 2004 as a 2005 MY car. I'm sure it'll pick up when there is inventory.

do they still even make this car? no advertising, they never have them in the dealerships and I haven't seen a 2009+ RL on the road in probably a year. Lots of TLs, but no RLs...dying breed.

Yes, it is still produced and it typically sells 150-200 a month. It hasn't been a big seller since about 2007 now but every one Acura sells is pure profit at this point. The tech has been passed down the line to other models and the car is still a show horse for new tech...first it was SH-AWD and ANC and CMBS/PAX, now it's the Heimholtz resonators in the wheels for silent running.

Am waiting with bated breath for what kickass tech will be in the next RL.

58 RL's sold in May. I think that may be the record. As you mentioned, severly hampered by the earthquake.

If they release a v8 model RL ...i'll jump on it, but as things stand the new rl looks better then the other models in the lineup.

I missed that. Thanks for pointing it out.

Honda has already said publicly that this was not going to happen. You never know, though! Maybe that RWD mule will come to fruition with a V8 and we'll be pleasantly surprised. I doubt that, however. More than likely, we'll get a M35h-like critter with a hybrid engine as the only powertrain.

give it some looks, update the style in and out, and keep Sh_AWD with a rear drive bias and a 0-60 in the low 5s and I'll be first in line.
Drove a 2012 650 convertible over the weekend at a local BMW olympic drive event, and spent quite a bit of time in a 535 also. the fit, finish, a feel of the interior materials was really impressive, everything felt very solid, really the benchmark IMO.
