Hi guys, this morning my wife was driving the RL and noticed while I was behind her on traffic 70% of the third brake light was lighted while she did a soft brake but once she did a hard brake all the strip light was turn on. Is this a normal behavior? or should I check the plug. I don't recall been disconnected when I got my windows tinted. Have anyone experience this before.

 

I've noticed the same thing with mine.
I figured it was a partial contact with the switch and didnt think twice about it.

The switch on the brake pedal.

I never climbed my big arse under there to look, but usually there is a little plastic switch on a tab and when you press the pedal it engages the switch.

this happened to me i replaced the brake switch real easy fix, good as new! good luck

 

I just cleaned the contacts, but replacing it is easy and inexpensive.
