The 2012 RL compared to my old one

Looks like it's mostly the same inside and underneath, except I don't recall seeing reference to the voice control feature.
New transmission, spruced up engine, bigger wheels...
There is a good video about the sh-awd on the site above.

The only major changes since 2005 have been:
-Motor (Up to 3.7L from 3.5L)
-Transmission (6-speed auto now)
-Better transmission ECU (Faster shifts, don't have to put into sport mode for paddle shifts, and I think it rev matches on downshifts now)
-A few exterior styling changes (Headlights, taillights, front and rear bumpers, grill, exhaust tips, chrome strips moved from mid-door to under the doors)
-Added ventilated seats
-Added iPod connectivity, USB input, AUX jack, Bluetooth
That pretty much sums it up I think. It's still the 2nd gen RL. The new model is coming next year as the 2014 RLX.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has experience with both the 2005-08 model and the 2011-12, on whether the new one really is noticeably quieter.

One other change is supposed to be a reduction in noise level, thanks to added sound insulation and the Hemholtz resonators built into the wheels.
