Hey guys, I wonder when they are going to post a 2009 RL forum? We 2009 RL owners have to use the old forum

 

What generation do you think your 09 RL is?

 

well i figured since they have a new body style this year it would be like the tl's

 

It's a mid-model change (MMC) not a whole new model. Except for the front and rear ends and a few new features it's virtually the same as the 05-08 RL. The interior is virtually exactly the same. It's still a second-gen RL.

 

While I agree it is still a MMC, you can take comfort in the fact that is reportedly the most extensive MMC in Honda's history and they addressed most every complaint original RL owners had, except for the trunk, five speed transmission and V8, all the things that are tough to do on the current platform.

Congrats on your 09 RL, wonder who will be the first here to add the bumper treatment to their pre 09 RL?

 

I saw an 09 RL the other night in traffic and I thought it looked damn good.

 

The 2009 RL is still a 2G RL, so no new forum for it, as noted above. The 3G RL is due in 2010 as a 2011 model IIRC.

I believe you are the second person to post about having one. Congrats! as the improved features are based on many of the comments posted here. I give you the same comments I give to anyone posting in RL....

OK, I'm joking about the second, but that 2009 with RonJons does look nice and aggressive.

Its ok, I am taking it in next week and getting the grill painted, Maybe that will make it look a little better
