the msrp is $49.9, Invoice is $44.8. You should be paying very close to invoice in this market, if not below it.

The pricing will in part depend on your area....some areas are intolerant of much below MSRP. However, I know of one person with a 2009 RL on this board and he paid invoice. Not many with 2009s post here. A bit more than 1000 of the 2009s have sold, so around 1/1000 owners has posted here so far. Hopefully more will come out of the woodwork.

dealer didn't want to deal at all, their list price was 50650.
they also wouldnt give me more than 24k for the trade in on rdx..which kbb showed 28k.
anyways, manager was kinda pissed @ the end because i rejected his offer.. probably felt i was wasting his time, lol

KBB and Edmunds are overoptimistic on trade-in value. Galves value is closer to what dealers are paying. If you're serious about trading, it's worth purchasing a few days on Galves to get a true trade-in value.

CarsDirect shows a price of $48940 in my area with invoice of $45940.

You must be in an area where dealers are not willing to budge from minimally below MSRP for the RL. Frankly, that's not a great move in this buyer's market. Alternate options are to try another dealer, go online (CarsDirect, Edmunds, etc.), wait a year to see if used 2009s appear, or try a SH-AWD 4G TL, which is 80% of the 2009 RL for $15k less.

And unfortunately (for RL owners), both will probably have the same resale value a year or two down the road.
