2006 RL UR crank pulley

got my Ur pulley installed today along with my gates belt and gotta say this is definetly a must..the response is must better..and improved acceleration .and off the topic this afternoon i was in the right lane doing about 45-50 and a damn white g35 coupe stopped short and i was about 4 inches from running into him.. freaking idiot in the rain getting off the Van wyck merging on the belt pkwy.. i was bracing for collision but thanks to the RL amazing brakes and electronics i walked away without a scratch..another reason i love this car.

What's the noise? No one with a pulley has mentioned that previously, so it may help to describe it. I don't have a pulley yet, but am considering one still.

it sounds like the pulley is not sitting properly but i checked it couple times and it's moving str8 without any wobbling, so im not sure if the shop i had it installed didnt torque it to specs or if that noise was there before i installed it but i love how it feels now, a lot more responsive.

Still don't understand what kind of noise? Is it a growl, a rumble, a high pitched squeak, etc.? I don't have a pulley, but would like to have a description so others that do can chime in.

well its hard to describe but it sounds like that the belt is rubbing against something.maybe after couple days it'll go away?.., maybe it's just me but i didnt notice that before the install..i just check about 3 minutes ago and it does sound like the pulley is not sitting properly but could it be due to harmonic damper? on the stock pulley i didnt see any rubber on the pulley meaning it didnt come with a harmonic damper..but as far as i can tell the pulley is bolted in properly and is definitely not wobbling..so i will keep on checking and report back in couple days sorry if i wasnt much help in explaining the noise

Actually if it sounds like the belt is rubbing against something, it really could be and the last thing you need is a catastrophic failure. I'd take it back to the installer simply for peace of mind.

i listened a little closer and came to the conclusion the noise i hear is not from the belt but does sound like a wood pecker..doesnt sound too serious? but i also did notice for the past 2 days i am averaging better gas mileage i live in queens but work on L.I and its about a 28 mile one way commute and i do about 5 miles city and the rest highway. according to my MID im getting 24-25 mpg.
