Okay...here's my rant about Autospies. These 2006 RL photos really pushed me over the top--enough to go forth with having my email removed from their newsletter.

Autospies used to be really good. Really good. I really enjoyed their actually exclusive spy photos and interesting take on various vehicles. They gave me the juicy details on the vehicles I wanted to know about. Their website design was wonderful and featured no fluff--there were no advertisements and each article/story was interesting and relevant.

Today, it's a completely different story. 001 at Autospies has driven his website into the ground. Now, it seems, all he is trying to do is chase the buck. Advertisements litter his site and the quality of the articles has gone down the drain. The website is trying to impress people by quantity and not quality--for example, one or two photos per page in order to create multiple pages on the same article. Further, they no longer have any original or exclusive spy shots of upcoming vehicles. Heck--take the 2006 RL photos for example. All they did was race over to Acuranews.com and get all the press photos they could possibly find and slap an Autospies watermark all over them. This is what they do with most of their "exclusive" photos. If vtec.net didn't put watermarks on their photos, I'm sure we'd see Autospies try to take credit for them and post them as exclusive. And BTW 001--renderings are NOT photos. They're simply renderings. Don't try to pass them off as "EXCLUSIVE photos".

What used to be an original, creative, and informative website, is now a wasteland of has-been photos and completely off the mark opinions and stories. The site has been further littered by too much publicity and a stupid blog page where all the status seeking morons can express their ignorant and un-educated opinions until their blue in the face.

In conclusion, I'm really disappointed and frustrated with 001. He had an incredible website. It has been marred by the incredibly lame "news stories", "yesterday's news" photos, meaningless blog section, and countless advertisements (in the form of graphics and wholly dedicated stories). It seems that 001 has let his passion for cars die for greed. :shakehead

I completely agree with you in regard to 001 at Autospies. I used to be impressed with the site, but now I'm just irritated by it.

I wish the Technology Package received heated/cooled seats too!

 

Yeah...I'm kind of surprised we don't see this with the technology package. I suppose their saving it for another year. I'm sure that we'll see it sometime soon, though.

 

On my way home tonight I'll use the ventilated seat option just for you guys. hehe, man I'm a prick

wife pruchased the new rl with tech package, can't figure out why people cut this vehicle, its silver with black, after driving this vehicle mayself I can see why she purchased same, this is a very good vechicle, too bad the public doesen't agree, guess we are stuck with it, thank goodness she got $ 10,000.00 of MSRP, also she averages over 20 MPH in the city driving that she does everyday, haven't taken it on a trip as of yet, but I am sure it will average what the sticker states, last it is built like a tank, see rl body on acura website.

I have driven every highend car in its class and higher and when you do, you realize how good this car really is. I have been amazed! I have an 06 Rl No tech and have been thinking of trading for the tech package. The price is so low now, it is very temptiing. I am trying to talk myself out of it. Ordering the rear camera and maybe that will calm me down.
