2006 RL Driveshaft bearing fail!!! $2k

Well just got home from the dealer. Touge's 2006 Acura RL that I now own has a failed propeller support bearing. I only have 44K miles on this car and it's just off of warranty. Totally sucks because the shaft is non-serviceable. I'm going to try and car Acura service USA and see if they would be willing to assist. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know.

Did you have any warning symptoms?
Was it driveable after failure?

It started off sounding like a slipping accessory belt. It's still drivable but I need to fix it cuz it sounds terrible like an old school fan belt screeching.

It doesn't start until it's warmed up, ~5miles of driving then it only starts at speeds above 40mph but doesn't stop just gets drowned out by road noise. Then if you drop below 40mph it stops. I will try and get Acura to help but I know my chances are limited.

it was just a very gradual increase in noise. Now it just sounds like a constantly slipping fan belt anything over 40mph.
