These guys seem pretty reliable, and say it should appear in 2006...

Autospies is hardly the most credible source for information, though ocassionally that guess right.

The RL might recieve Integrated Motor Assist, but that could refer to either the hybrid system or the cylinder cut-off system. I'd wait for our own Oracle to confirm it before celebrating.

They are highly unreliable.

And there are no hybrid due out for the RL next yr. Just cost alone they won't be able to justifiy a hybrid RL.

Right, at least not SO soon after the 2005's release. It took them at least 2 years to put it into the Accord sedan, and they were probably researching long before that. Generally, automakers would prefer to make hybrid vehicles meant to be volume vehicles, since the initial cost of putting them out is so high. I bet Honda and Toyota lose a small amount of money on each hybrid they sell, but by mass producing them, if they sell enough, their costs will come down to make it profitable, at least I think so. Someone tell me if I'm totally out to lunch.

I'm thinking the '06 RL will have ventilated seats for the US and the '07 RL will be a hybrid. Just to keep it in the headlines and sales going steady, rather than the slow painful death the '96 - '04 RL had to deal with.
