2005 RL Purchase - Help Enthusiasts!

Looking at buying a 2005 RL with roughly 100k miles. Car has been well maintained (incl. new AC unit). What else should I be looking for? Am I buying myself a huge service bill? Anything I should be aware of at this mileage? I realize it has !00k miles and will need some maintenance, I just want to know if I am getting myself into trouble. Getting a good price on the vehicle.

Thanks a ton for the help and guidance.

Right off the bat, you will be paying for a major service, at about 105K miles, new timing belt, water pump, fluids (tranny, transfer case, rear diffs, brake, PS, coolant). filters (engine air, cabin, fuel), alignment...this is general maintenance, but about 100K is the time it is supposed to be done.

You should check on any recalls, definitely the power steering hose recall that affected many Honda cars, TLs and RLs included.

I am sure others will chime in.

I have 05 with 120K miles. I recall the 105K service is about $900.
You might need brakes soon. My first lasted 55K miles and I'm down to 5mm on the second set.
I'm on third set of tires having got third set around 110K miles, so you should check tread.
There's several threads on the propeller shaft whir/whine that you should review before you drive the car.
I'd check the door handles to make sure "touch" lock/unlock works if that feature is important to you (it is a nice feature).
Hopefully owner still as both fobs - expensive to replace/program.

Thank you for the replies. Should I have concern about the technology failing? Noticed there are a lot of bottons and features built into the car, is this an issue at the 100k mile range? Anything else I should think about? What do you think is the right private party price for me to pay? (Black '05 w/ NAV and ~100k miles)
