09+ J Pipe Availability

First off, I know that the RL is not popular amongst the tuners, but I would like to upgrade that restrictive J-Pipe. Though, IDK how restrictive it really is.

The closest relative to the RL is the TL SH-AWD J37A4 engine. I think XLR8 sells some. But couldn't find if they confirmed if it fits or not.

I checked the stock parts numbers from the Acura eStore and they are different from the TL. So i'm guessing not the same. RL looks shorter on the outlet side. Maybe only an extender is needed?

Is the only route, custom? Do you guys think it's worth it?

You could join the rest of us sitting in the back of the bus being ignored, quietly waiting for our stop. Don't hold your breath though.

I thought the 09+ had a true dual exhaust.

EDIT: Nevermind. It is the same.

09 does in fact have true Dual exhaust...not sure why anyone would want to make the RL louder though.

As far as power...anything short of supercharger is just blowing smoke. As far as fun factor, a Takeda SRI is as far as you need to look.

The ATLP J-pipe is officially vaporware so far as I'm concerned. The market is simply too small and frankly if it comes out, it will be after the new RL is announced.

I wonder if the ATLP 05+ RL J pipe will be compatible with the newer J37 engine. According to the parts number between the 05-08 and the 09+, they have diff parts number. Guess nothing for the 09 at all!

Sometimes I wish I got the TL SH AWD. Well, built for crusing, not speed.

I will take a telescoping steering column over a J-pipe any day of the year.
