'08 RL has better A/C unit?

Another current thread comparing the '05 and '08 RL mentions that the '08 has a better A/C unit. Is this true? Were any changes made to the A/C system for '08?

I have an '06 and have posted about how poorly the AC system on Auto setting maintains the interior temperature.

Just wondering whether the that problem has been fixed in the '08. . .

I live in Florida and have no issues with my 06 on maintaining temps, works just fine.
So I am saying it is not a general issue, maybe you still have the late 05 issue with the ac unit, they had many failures in 05.

I haven't had a chance to monitor the AC on my 06 RL yet, I bought it in Dec. However, I was wondering the same thing when I read that post.

Here's an earlier thread where this issue was discussed:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4931

I'm referring to the very uneven interior temperature maintenance, not the '05 system (compressor?) failures which I believe were remedied with the '06 RL.

For me, it is difficult for the Auto setting to maintain a constant temperature - in both cold and hot weather. And sometimes there seems to be no airflow at all.

For the lack of airflow, have you tried changing the cabin air filter? It could be clogged and impeding the air flow. It's an easy change - it's right behind the glove box. There's a DIY thread here. Just search for it.
