wow.. seems high to me... but if they really are going for that much.. wow.. I have EQUITY in my RL then... I have an 06 with 58k, still certified... i always figured if i sold my car. i'd get high teens... like 18k 19k... that's what i'd shoot for...

RL's never did sell well.... and you have a nice car as is... i'm guessing if you sell your 07TL are you doing to have to borrow more money to get this RL.... nothing wrong with an 07 TL.... put an iPhone holder in the car and you have nav...

white is a nice color... although i never liked the parchment interior... shows dirt like crazy.... the black interior looks 1000x better in my opinion... but good luck finding WDP on black... they are very very rare.

if you looked around, i bet you could find a better deal..... it's not like they are going to sell it anytime soon... show interest.. then walk away... they will call you and drop their price. when I bought my RL that's what i did. i left. went home. they called me and went down another $500.... that was after already getting them down a fair amount..

if you don't get this one.. another one will come along. they always do.

KBB is $20,914 and NADA is $21,175. If the certification extends the warrenty to 100,000 miles that might be worth $1,000. Piece of mind knowing when you drive it off the lot it will be covered bumper to bumper for 39,000 more miles.

I had a 04 TL and five years ago bought a 2007 RL. Just sold it yesterday and it had 164,000 miles. Did not have any problems except both armrest had to be replaced ($57 each) and the top of the center console (wear issues).

My wife has a Lexus SC430 and we would never own any vehicle other than a Lexus or Acura. I looked hard at the Lexus ES, GS and LS. One side of me said get something different. In the end however I was convinced the RL was a much better fit for me. I loved my 07. I bought a white with parchment 2010 RL this past Friday. The pearl white is beautiful. It has been raining for the last two days but can not wait to hit it with Zaino!!!

Both the TL and RL are great but they are different. In a nut shell, TL is sporty and the RL more luxurious. This has been debated here before and this is my opinion. I would never own any color other than a light one. Silver and white for the Acura's. Both colors really show the shine and do not show dirt. Black after one rain is dirty and shows swirl marks no matter how careful you are with it. As far as the interior, I would only own a light taupe or parchment color. Black dashes and mats show every piece of lint and dust. Thet look hotter and give the appearence of being smaller. Remember guys this one person's opinion.

The 06 RL looks great and I would offer if it is certified up to 100,000 miles $20,000. Wait them out for a week and come back with $20.500. wait them out a couple of days and make them a final offer of $21,000. This is in line with KBB and NADA. I have found over the years that if you love the car don't let $500 be a deal breaker. Fight for new mats or some other accessory since it is a Acura dealer.

Since the Carfax shows no maintenance items, I would try to find out what has been done with the car. Take it for a long test drive and ask for the manuels. Sometimes the owner will write their name in it. Look on the navagation system and see if the address is still showing for home. Do a real estate check for the county or city and you might be able to get a name. Look in the nav address book for names and do the same thing with the search. Call these people and ask if they know someone who sold a 2006 white RL and why you are asking to get previous maintenance records. Press the talk button for bluetooth and say phonebook list. If they did not delete this info you can get names and numbers here. Grab both key fobs when you take the test drive because there is two phonebooks and the dealer might have only erased one. If the previous owner tells you they did all the routine maintenance items and it has not been wrecked than that should give you piece of mind.

Good Luck!!!!

Nice pickup Fred. Now change your sig and post some pics! I have yet to see a
white MMC.

Everything is negotiable. I wouldn't pay any more than KBB. Wait it out an they will come down, especially after showing interest.

I think high. We paid about $22K for a white Cali RL with 59,900 and that was almost 3 years ago. It had the factory warranty to 100,000 too and it was through a dealer with no trade.

A little high. The price is obviously a starting point. Negotiate and see what happens.

Acura CPO gives you an additional 12 months and 12K miles on top of the factory warranty of 4 years/ 50K miles. It also extends the power train warranty to 7 years/ 100K miles. Typically, the CPO cost the dealer around $300, but the perceived value is greater to the consumer. You can add an extended "bumper-to-bumper" 7 years/ 100K miles warranty fairly inexpensively because you're really just buying the "basic" warranty, since the power train is already covered under CPO. The price is a decent price, but not spectacular. One thing to keep in mind is the RL is a fairly rare vehicle, so depending on the supply and demand, this may be a fair deal.

Good luck!!

Not sure on average how much CPO adds to used RL value but I purchase my 06 RL (w/ tech package, and 30k miles) for $21,900 back in Dec, 2010. Granted it was thru private party but compared to that, this seems pretty high given no-tech and high mileage. I would certainly ask for less than $20k before taxes...etc. are there other RLs in your area you can compare prices?

That's a tad bit more than we paid for my RL which had 70k on the odometer but it's the CMBS tech package and came with the A-Spec lip kit and wheels. If it's close to KBB and NADA I would say it's a decent price. Obviously, if you can negotiate it lower then by all means do. Just keep in mind used cars are at like a 10 year high in terms of residual value so most dealerships aren't budging a ton on prices right now.
