05 vs 06 vs 07 RL??

I have seen cars selling at approx these prices:

2005 - $25,000
2006 - $30,000
2007 - $35,000

are there any major differences between the various years? I have read some people saying to avoid 05 b/c of A/C problems, and other issues.

what were the "problems" with 05s? is the car inherently unreliable vs an 06/07 or were there only a handful of TSBs that if addressed, the car will be fine. (if this is the case, I would hope an Acura Certified car has had these addressed..or at least they will do it if you ask them to.)

If the 05-07 cars are essentially the same - in terms of quality of materials, build quality, etc - then as long as I can find a VERY clean 05, with low miles, I could save myself a bundle of money and put that money toward wheels/suspension/exhaust.

Of you who have shopped for used RL's recently - did you notice any differences among 05/06/07?

I don't care about what option packages one year may have offered vs. another year - I am going to get a car with nav and that's it. I don't care about CMBS/PAX or other add ons.

The only "add ons" I *would* like to get are hte aspec items. There are very few..but they are out there - cars that have the aspec body kit or wheels already on them.

Look at the RL - JD Power thread from yesterday. 05s rate much better than 06-08. AC is not necessarily a widespread problem, but it has generated a lot of text on this board.

from 06 and newer HONDA/ACURA changed there powertrain warranty from the standard 4yr50k to 6yr70k so imo if you can find an 06 with low mileage go for it

As long as you get the TSBs taken care of on a 2005, it's a perfectly fine purchase. Yes, there is the AC issue, but that's what an extended warranty (Acuracare preferred) is for.

FYI, Consumer Reports likes the 07, 06, 05 in that order, with the most dings on their record in O5. 'Course, they like the '04 better than all three of the new ones.
