'05 RL Roof Rack?

Hey, just wondering what roof racks anyone may be using out there on their rl's, been looking around, having some trouble and just trying to get some ideas!

17 year old in an RL? You should trade it for a WRX.

No roof rack here, I stuff my gear in the back seat and trunk.

Yakima has setup for our RLs. Just go to their homepage and put your vehicle info and you'll have all the roof racks you want!!

Nah if anything I'd go for the gti but yeah I've been shoving everything into the back seat and then it just ends up taking too much room

haha, right on.

You know there is an access hole behind the rear arm rest right?

I'm not sure if your board will fit through but it helps.

What is it for? Does it have to be a roof rack? I needed something for my mountain bikes and didnt want a roof rack and risk the noise, scratching, and look of the vehicle. So i had a receiver fabbed up to mount in the rear and use a hitch mount Saris rack. I could take photos of the fabbed unit as it was pretty simple and works like a champ.

Let me know and ill take pics next time i put my bikes on. Oh and i dont leave the receiver either as its only 3 quick bolts to put on and off.

Car is super dirty, sorry its been cold as hell when i get off work to wash it. You can see what i did here with the receiver, its a 2" generic receiver purchased from Harbor Freight for like $10. I then made a template with cardboard of the "T" bracket that i had my brother weld to the receiver so i can bolt it in the rear to stabilize it and the majority of the weight is on the rear tow hook as you can see. The bolt with washer usually isnt there so disregard that i was trying something different and i dont like it. Usually its just the 1 bolt that passes through the tow hook, and then two small 10mm in the rear.

Rack used is a Saris Selma 2.. love this rack by the way. Previously had a Thule hang and dangle (eww).

I only keep the receiver on during season when i know the bike will be on every weekend on the regular. I remove it when im not riding as no BS our cars look funny with a receiver on them but i dont care its effective for me.
