Hello I am new to this forum. Recently purchased 05 RL with 171K miles. CIL came on same day shortly after purchase. Engine codes P0138 and P0139 looking for help or information on how to replace the Bank 1 Sensor 2 Heated Rear Downstream Oxygen sensor. A neighbor who works on his 06 TL tried to help with this, as he said was an easy job however when he tried to remove the old sensor, the space to be able to reach the sensor he said is significantly tighter then his TL due to the larger size of the awd transmission in the RL. He thought it would be a very time consuming job of disassembling (something-not sure what part) just to be able to get to the sensor. Today I took it to a small shop who looked at it and said he thought it could be done without disassembling anything but requires a special tool for the tight fit but he didn't have that tool. Does anyone know if a tool does exist to make this an easier job? If not, then what part would need to be disassembled to get to it? Thanks
