02 TL-P in service: 05 RL Loaner

Wow this thing is amazing! Until today, I hadn't driven an RL, but I thought now that I have I'd post and just tell you guys what a great car you have!

I'm wondering, though - is the RL deceptively fast? It doesn't feel any faster than my TL, but it is so ultrarefined I'm thinking it just masks it.

Anyway, it has a dizzying array of features. The Navi voice is too low, though. How do I turn it up?

The RL is a little slower than the TL due to added weight and the AWD.

Great, what luck. Today driving the loaner RL a rock flew up and cracked the windshield. And due to my high deductible, I have to pay.

That sucks ...being that i traded in a 2004 tl for an RL in my opinion the 0 to 60 is of course slower but ive found once you get the Rl moving its just as fast.

By the way there is a way to turn the navi up its in the audio options.

Check with your insurance agent first. In Ky., and many other states, there is no decuctible for "safety related" glass like the windshield or headlight covers.

RL lacks the low-end torque but one its runs it runs!

I checked with my insurance and they said it was smarter to pay out of pocket than file a claim since the windshield should be cheaper than the $1000 deductible.

The windshield will cost ~$800.

I'm going to raise hell with my Honda Corporate case manager, though. I don't really have $800 to give, and I wouldn't have even been driving a loaner car had Nalley Acura repaired my TL correctly the FIRST time rather than this being the 3rd time for a loaner vehicle and the 8th time in 2 months it has been at the dealer for the SAME problem.

I don't know if that will get me anywhere, but I'm at least going to play that card.

Sounds to me like you've got a good case to get your money back. Good luck and don't give up too easy.
