[RANT] How hard it is to swap interior in RL?

Hi,

I know this is a pretty stupid question but I have never been a big fan of tan interior. Actually I hated it in S2000s for that matter. I love my car and everything about it but I am just not feeling the tan interior after owning it for over 2 months and over 12K miles. I drive a lot and I just don't like the feeling. I know it's pretty stupid and it's just interior of the car but I was just wondering how much of an effort is it to swap interiors with someone who wants tan?

By swap I mean everything from dash to roof liner to everything there is. I know most of you would say just sell the car and get one with black interior which is not possible since I got a great deal on this car and it's an awesome car for family. I plan to keep it for a long time but I am just in a mood to bi*ch about the tan interior for some reason...

Hope y'all have a great day

Like you said we would say, it would be MUCH MUCH easier to sell the car and get one with the right color that you like.

Having said that, anything is possible with enough time and money. You either have to buy ALL the interior plastic and fabric surfaces (which would cost you a FORTUNE) and swap it all out, or you have to find someone willing to swap every piece of the interior with you. EVEN if you were fortunate enough to find someone willing to do that (which I doubt!), you will inevitably break or damage some of the pieces in the removal process requiring you to buy new ones, which will cost you.

Any "good deal" you got on your existing car would be negated and you will end up spending WAY more to try to change the color. Part of that great deal you got on this car is living with the color that it came in. Any change like this is obviously not worth it.

Hope this puts things into perspective a bit...

No idea. My black interior has a dove gray headliner.

No idea what the others have. I imagine the Ivory/Parchment interior has sort of a tan/beige headliner. Quartz/Taupe probably a dove gray headliner...

Find someone who hates their dark interior and swap it... or, I've seen shops paint/dye/re-wrap interiors... I guess it all depends on the $$$ you want to spend.
