$599 Acura Lease Offer

$599 Acura Lease Offer
The Acura website describes a RL Lease Offer at $599 for 36 months with $3694 due at signing. Has anyone executed this lease? Is it a good deal? I'm curious as to what depreciation value, money factor, and price they are using. What mileage is allowed?
Thanks

While they have had this $599 in effect, they further sweetened the pot by offering the dealers an additional $2500 holback on leased cars only.
That incentive ended 8/1/05 I believe.
Problem was that very few dealers truly passed this $2500 bucks onto the leasee. Most kept it to themselves, & stuck with the $599 Acura offer. The additional 2.5k offered by Acura went into the dealer's pockets.

I leased my RL a month ago.
At the time they were pushing that $599 lease deal, but the dealer
told me that they would go $499.
I put down $2800
My payments came to $528 per month (includes taxes)
12K mileage per year
+ Wood Knob, Mud Guards, Spoiler and Key Locks
I would hope that you can talk them into this deal still today.

Please explain what you mean by "rolling the acquisition fee ($595) into the net cap cost". I don't know too much about leasing, & you lost me there.

The $599 is just a marketing gimmick to lure people to come into the dealership based on a low monthly payment for a great car. Instead, you should negotiate a cap cost (purchase price) that is low as possible. You can decide to roll the remaining fees into your cap cost (i.e. tax, title, bank fee, etc...) or just pay for them outright. In any case, total out of pocket shouldn't be more than $1500. I'm leasing my RL for 36mos. & 15k mi/year for $608/month including taxes. My total out of pocket was $997.79, which included 1st months payment, registration, tire disposal, etc... AHFC has the residual value of the RL at 29,305. (based on 3yr lease at $599 & 12k miles per year).
They tell me that is not negoitable, that the residual is set by AHFC.
If your CAP cost is 41.5k on the deal you made, what is the actual amount you need to fork over at the end of the lease to own the RL should you wish to buy it? (not including tax, financing, title, etc.)
