Unplugging rear view mirror on Tech
Hi. Can a one tell me how a RDX w/ Tech package will behave if you unplug the connector on back of rear view mirror before starting it? Thanks!

The auto-dimming feature of your mirrors will be disabled.... I discovered this when I installed my dash cam that blocked the view of sensor.. Couldn't figure out why my mirrors were always dark all the time!! Unplugged the sensor and solved the mystery.

Thanks for this info!
Somehow while adjusting the mirror the 3 wires going into the harness just slid straight out on mine, they weren't even cut or damaged looking, just 3 wires with all the strands fanning open at the end. And the car died. The shop is saying they have to replace a wire that branches seems to run all over the place inside the car to fix a short. Was wondering if I can leave it unplugged next time and save all this trouble and cost.
