My wife's rdx rear spoiler was damaged by our garage door. I ordered OEM replacement 74900tx4a01zd (graphite color) but I can't figure out how to remove the original damaged part. There is only one visible plastic bolt but loosening it doesn't loosen up the spoiler. Looking at the new replacement spoiler, there seems two posts with metal threads that could accept screws but I can't seem to access them. I could take it to repair shop but I'd like to save some dollars and the acura service guy said it was easy enough for a regular person to do. Any help would be appreciated!

 

I have the same car with the same damage for the same reason! Wondering if you ever figured out how to replace the spoiler yourself. Would love to save some $ on labor.

 

I eventually did it. Bought the part from acura dealership. The main thing is to raise the hatch up. there are plastic popout strips lining side the sides of the hatch. pop them out and you will see recessed bolts and a few pop in plastic retention plugs. some are recessed but you can reach. easy to remove damaged spoiler, unplug the wiper connector. just don't drop the bolts into the frame of hatch or it will be hard to find. the replacement fits perfectly. it doesn't include bolts so you need to use original. I think there is one electric connector for brake light. pop on strips pop back on well. don't worry you won't bust it. good luck . you will save $100+ on labor easily by doing it yourself!
