After cleaning and re greasing the lock mechanism on the back to no avail i decided to look at my spare tire and tighten it down. That was the issue. so check the spare tire under the rear area for tightness if you experience noises when cornering or going over bumps

 

Thanks! I don't necessarily have rear a hatch noise but I will still check the tightness of the spare now. I don't think I've ever checked it in the 2 1/2 years now since I bought my RDX. On a side note, one should also check it's tire pressure.
