Oil pump leak

Any experience an oil pump leak on these RDX's would be appreciated.

Mine (2015 tech at 105,000 miles) had RPMs wavering a bit when accelerating so I drained and filled the transmission fluid 3x over a week. Old fluid was dark. The fluid changed cured the problem. I brought it to a dealer to get the software update, and hoping that prevents the fluids from deteriorating quickly in the future.

They pointed out one other issue. There's a bit of moisture at the oil drain bolt under the car. They said the oil pump started leaking. It's small at this point as the level never went down and I've never seen any on the ground. Here's the thing, they quoted me $2,700! I understand that it's a lot of labor to get to and it's a job best done while doing a timing belt service. My timing belt was done 3.5 years and 33,000 miles ago. Any advice on how long I could delay a fix? Could I safely monitor it for a couple years and then hit it during timing belt service? I assume another shop could do it cheaper but I'm guessing still $1-2 thousand.

Is at-205 something that would help? I'm not sure if it would be smart to add that in a vehicle I hope could potentially last several more years and maybe another 100,000 miles

Don't pay attention, if there are no spots on the drive, then these are seepage. When stains appear, you can think about replacing the gasket. I think you still have 1-2 years left. If you do this job quickly, it can be done in 5 hours; if you take your time, it can be done in 8 hours. The only consumables are the couple bucks gaskets and the RTV.

Subscribed. Mine just started seeping down oil pan, discovered it yesterday when went underneath to change oil (A1). Not dripping on garage floor (yet). 2013 RDX w/246K miles, nearly exactly halfway between timing belt services. My indie said if I have it done they would change oil pump and also timing belt at same time, since oil will be on it. Ugh. Am leaning toward watchful waiting.

That's exactly what happened to me. (2017 at 130k miles) The leak was found at a dealership during a transmission firmware update.
I am going to get it fixed. I got some help here to come up with a list of necessary parts (replace timing belt, oil and water pumps):

it's about $400 for parts, I am going to visit a few local shops and get a quote, the dealership asked for ~$3000 (parts+labor+fees+taxes).
